Kingdom Hearts III Manga Concludes Its Journey with Final Chapter

The long-running manga adaptation of Kingdom Hearts III by Shiro Amano has officially reached its conclusion, with the final chapter now available on Square Enix's Gangan Online platform. Fans can look forward to the fourth and final compiled volume, set to ship on March 12, marking the end of this cherished series.

Amano began the Kingdom Hearts III manga adaptation in April 2019 with a prologue chapter on Gangan Online, followed by the first full chapter in June of the same year. Over the years, Square Enix has released three volumes, with the third installment hitting shelves in March 2023. While Yen Press initially brought the manga to English readers, its publication halted after the second volume, leaving fans without an official continuation in English.

The manga is a faithful adaptation of Kingdom Hearts III, the critically acclaimed game released by Square Enix in January 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title quickly broke records, shipping over 5 million copies worldwide by February 2019 and becoming the fastest-selling entry in the franchise’s history. The story was further expanded with the "Re Mind" DLC, launched in January 2020.

As the Kingdom Hearts franchise evolves, fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter with Kingdom Hearts IV currently in development. Meanwhile, the series’ legacy continues with the availability of past titles on various platforms, including the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece bundle.
