Spring 2023's "Evangelion Kabukicho Impact"

If you're looking for Hideaki Anno's best work, go no further than Evangelion, a series that has been running for decades and has a cult-like fanbase.

The live-action stage adaptation of Evangelion will premiere in the spring of 2023 at the Theater Milano-Za in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower. This stage production, titled "Evangelion Beyond," will be staged by the award-winning director, dancer, and choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

There will also be an Evangelion film festival in the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower's movie theater. In addition, the building's Zepp Shinjuku hall will host a special concert featuring Yoko Takahashi.

The first theme for Evangelion, "The Cruel Angel's Thesis," was performed by Takahashi. A brand-new hotel is now being constructed. The Hotel Groove Shinjuku, which has been called "Japan's largest entertainment hotel," is scheduled to debut in May of 2023.

For a limited time, guests can stay on a level the hotel dubbed "Lifestyle hotel Eva," which is part of the "Evangelion Kabukicho Impact" initiative and features rooms decorated in the style of Eva pilots. Evangelion swag and a themed cuisine will be available at the hotel's restaurant as well. Beginning with the tower's formal opening on April 28, 2023, the "Evangelion Kabukicho Impact" project will proceed in a logical fashion. People will be allowed to check into the hotel in the middle of the month of May, but the play and concert won't begin until the very end of the month.
