Casio Honors Haikyu!! with Limited-Edition G-Shock Collection Inspired by Rival Volleyball Teams
To celebrate the 10-year milestone of the beloved volleyball anime Haikyu!!, Casio has unveiled a fresh collaboration that blends style, fandom, and functionality. The new limited-edition G-Shock series reimagines the popular GA-B2100 model, this time with a distinct twist drawn from the show's iconic teams—Karasuno and Nekoma.
The Karasuno-themed watch sports a striking navy and orange color scheme, echoing the team’s recognizable uniforms. Adding a personal touch, it includes Hinata Shoyo’s jersey number “10” along the band, and the motivational kanji “飛べ” (meaning “fly”), a nod to the protagonist’s relentless drive and aerial prowess on the court. On the flip side, the Nekoma edition embraces a red and black colorway with Kenma Kozume’s number “5” printed boldly, along with “繋げ” (“connect”)—a perfect tribute to the team’s emphasis on strategic unity. The strap’s checkered pattern cleverly hints at Nekoma’s nickname: “The Cats.”
Both models maintain the reliable features fans expect from the GA-B2100 line, including Bluetooth connectivity, solar-powered Tough Solar tech, and global timekeeping. While the core specs remain familiar, it’s the rich anime-inspired details that steal the spotlight.
Each timepiece comes packaged in exclusive team-themed boxes, complete with custom artwork, unique inserts, and bonus accessories. Fans can even snag a collector’s edition box set featuring both versions. The watches officially drop on April 26 in Shanghai, retailing for ¥1,190 (about $170) each, or ¥2,290 (around $312) for the full set.
Casio also recently dropped another special edition—this time in collaboration with MondaySleepingClub. Their DW-5610UU-3PRM is a China-exclusive in earthy green tones with eco-conscious materials and a calming “Sleep Well, Stay Healthy” theme.
Between anime tributes and lifestyle partnerships, Casio continues to flex its cultural versatility while staying true to its rugged watch roots.
