Uniqlo Unveils Exclusive Graphic Tees for Ghost in the Shell and Evangelion Fans
After announcing UT collections celebrating Uzumaki and Gundam’s 45th anniversary, Uniqlo is gearing up to release a special line of graphic tees dedicated to two of Japan's most influential sci-fi anime series: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Evangelion. These iconic series have left a profound impact on the world of anime, and this collection brings their unique aesthetics to wearable art.
The collection includes four exclusive designs, with each series represented by one black and one white tee. For Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, the black version features a detailed sketch of a Tachikoma, the spider-like combat vehicle from Section 9, paired with the anime's title. The white variant showcases a subtle light green line drawing of Major Motoko Kusanagi, alongside her thought-provoking quote, “If you’re dissatisfied with the world, change yourself.”
The Evangelion designs are equally striking. The white tee displays the title of the 2012 film Evangelion: 3.0 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO on the front, complemented by a bold red graphic of EVA Unit-02 on the back. Meanwhile, the black shirt highlights all three iconic EVA units in vibrant, full-color print on the front, accented by crisp white text for a powerful contrast.
Priced at ¥1,990 JPY (around $13 USD), this limited-edition collection brings anime nostalgia to fans at an accessible price point. The sci-fi anime UT collection will be available at Uniqlo stores and online in mid-May. Anime enthusiasts and fashion lovers alike won’t want to miss this opportunity to celebrate these legendary series.
