Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Trilogy Set to Make a Grand Entrance

Exciting news for Demon Slayer fans—Aniplex has officially revealed that the highly anticipated Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle trilogy will kick off in Japan on July 18. This first installment is set to premiere on an impressive 443 screens across the country, including IMAX, marking a franchise record. Beyond Japan, Aniplex plans to expand its global reach even further, aiming to screen the film in over 150 countries and regions. This would surpass the series’ previous international rollout, which reached over 145 territories.

Fans eager to secure their seats can purchase advance MoviTicke Cards featuring the film’s official key visual starting March 7. Then, on April 4, a set of seven additional cards showcasing individual characters from the key visual will be released, along with a framed collector’s edition set featuring all eight designs.

Leading up to the film’s premiere, Demon Slayer’s past cinematic releases will return to theaters for limited showings between April 4 and July 3. These screenings will include the franchise’s 12 previous films, with compilation films running for one week at 33 theaters. Additionally, a remastered 4K edition of Mugen Train will be available from May 9 to June 12 in 423 theaters, featuring immersive formats such as IMAX, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and MX4D. These special screenings will also offer exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the upcoming trilogy.

The Infinity Castle arc adaptation promises to bring one of the most intense battles of the series to life, as hinted by the film’s powerful tagline: “Ignite the final battle…” The excitement doesn’t stop at the big screen—fans of the Demon Slayer gaming franchise can look forward to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, the sequel to the 2021 game, launching in Japan on August 1.

Crunchyroll has secured global distribution rights for the film trilogy outside of Japan and select Asian territories, ensuring that audiences worldwide can experience the epic showdown. Since its anime debut in April 2019, Demon Slayer has grown into a worldwide sensation, with multiple adaptations spanning TV, films, and games. The Mugen Trainfilm, released in 2020, shattered box office records, while subsequent arcs, including Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training, have continued to captivate audiences. With the Infinity Castle trilogy, the franchise is gearing up for an unforgettable cinematic experience that will take fans deeper into the Demon Slayer universe than ever before.
