Pokémon fans have something exciting to look forward to as Netflix gears up to stream the second part of Pokémon Horizons: The Series – The Search for Laqua starting April 25. This continuation of the latest Pokémon anime adventure follows the journey of brand-new protagonists, Liko and Roy, as they uncover mysteries alongside their Pokémon companions.
The series originally debuted in Japan in April 2023 with a special one-hour premiere and has since introduced multiple story arcs. The anime’s latest saga, Terapagos no Kagayaki (The Brilliance of Terapagos), began airing in Japan with its 29th episode in October 2023, adding even more intrigue to the adventure. The show has also incorporated the Terastal Debut arc, bringing in elements from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

Fans also get to meet Friede and Captain Pikachu, a dynamic professor-and-partner duo who join the protagonists in battle. As the series progresses, new characters and regions, such as Kitakami from The Teal Mask expansion, continue to enrich the world of Pokémon Horizons.
With the creative talents of director Saori Den, creative director Daiki Tomiyasu, and script supervisor Dai Satō, Pokémon Horizons delivers an engaging story backed by stunning animation and action-packed sequences. As Netflix continues to release new episodes, this latest chapter in the Pokémon universe promises to captivate both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
