Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Dominates Opening Weekend Box Office

The latest chapter in the Sonic the Hedgehog saga made an electrifying debut at the U.S. box office, securing the top spot during its opening weekend. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 pulled in an impressive estimated $62 million, with $25.75 million coming from its opening day on Friday, followed by $19.5 million on Saturday and $16.75 million on Sunday. Adding to the excitement, Keanu Reeves joins the cast as the voice of Shadow the Hedgehog, a highly anticipated addition. Jim Carrey returns as the mischievous Dr. Robotnik, alongside a mix of new and returning stars. Meanwhile, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim slipped from fifth to eighth place, earning $1.27 million in its second weekend, bringing its U.S. gross to $7.37 million and its global total to $15.37 million.
