Elden Ring gets a free Colosseum update tomorrow

FromSoftware has announced December 7, 2022, will be the release of the highly anticipated free Elden Ring PvP update, Colosseum. The new Colosseum update will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

According to the update's official description, "The Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid will open their gates, allowing players to battle in duels, free-for-alls, and team fights."

This new PvP upgrade for Elden Ring was expected to be released after a leak surfaced at the beginning of 2022. A data miner for the Elden Ring named Lance McDonald broke into one of the secured coliseums early this year. As a result, the Elden Ring community began dreaming of a future when the colosseums that had been put away could be unlocked and used in the game's new PvP mode.

Bandai Namco hasn't confirmed when the patch will be delivered, but it seems probable that server maintenance will begin at 12AM PT, as this is when previous updates have occurred. Check out the preview trailer showcasing footage of one of the new colosseums in action.
